Dear Northside Family,
Fall is in the air and doesn’t it feel good? I love this time of the season. October is always a special month. Sunday, October 4, is our annual Homecoming day. We will experience great singing and good grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. I also love October because it is a time to “Catch Up”. You say Preacher, what are you talking about? Well, as Summer ends and Fall begins, we sometimes find ourselves a few dollars short because of Summer vacations, and the cost of back-to-school, and a bunch of other expenses that might cause us to delay our gifts to the church, so this month let’s catch up. If you have skipped an opportunity to give, catch up this month. Let us have an “ALL IN” month, every member giving a little above and do it with a grateful heart like the song says. I have learned from experience that you cannot out give God. Be a blessing and be blessed! Also, be sure to grab a Christian shoe box and fill it up for a special child to open on Christmas day, this is one of the greatest missions we do.
As I write this letter, I am reminded that we are living in uncertain times that challenge us to do what ever it takes. Now more than ever, we are reminded of the urgency of missions. More than any other time we need to be faithful in getting the Gospel to a lost and dying world. We have the greatest news ever, Jesus Saves, Jesus Saves!
I want you to know I call it an honor to Pastor one of the most giving, loving, friendliest churches around. Let’s continue on Loving, Leading, and Living for Jesus.
Love you ALL!
Pastor Buckshot, Philippians 4:13
