Dear Church family:
As I reflect of the church and all that it has been through the last several months, I think I am safe in saying we have entered a time of the unknown. We really do not know what to do, should we start back wide open or should we take it slow? I promise you this, the leadership and I will prayerfully seek Gods will and do what we think is best for you the church. We really should not have any fear because ultimately God is in control. Things that happen outside of our control can sometimes really scare us and cause us to panic. But the only thing we can truly control one hundred percent of the time is how we conduct ourselves, how we respond to each situation. For example, when we are driving on a highway that we have never been on before, one that is full of curves, hills, and valleys, we never know what will be around the next corner. Still, just like we continue driving forward to see what is around the bend, we must push forward in our lives to see what we are facing.
The truth is when we spend time worrying, we are wasting valuable time that could have been spent praying. What does worry achieve? Nothing. I don’t know everything that God has in store for us as we continue into the future, but what I do know is that He is in control, and He still has a plan for us as at Northside Baptist Church. I know that in Philippians 1:6, God’s Word says,
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
I love you all and cannot wait to see what God is going to do throughout our sweet fellowship. Let us keep on keeping on for Jesus! Let us work till Jesus comes! Let us respond to the unknown before us with courage and confidence that we have in Him, knowing that He is more than able to lead us into the future and complete the good work that He has begun in us!
God Bless you ALL
