We began a new series of sermons this past Sunday following our study of Jesus’ Work of Redemption. Following such an amazing work of Jesus we are left with the question, “What’s Next?” Jesus answers this question in Acts 1:8, when He says:
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Here we noticed The Commission of Jesus. Jesus has told us what we are to be doing as a church, how we are to be doing it, and where we are to be going. The question now is: are we doing it individually and collectively as a church? May we answer this question honestly so that we can be faithful to our Lord’s Commission.
Remember, we will be going to Atlanta this month on a mission trip to help with Pastor Harold and Pittsburgh Kingdom Baptist Church’s annual outreach event. This is a great opportunity to be a witness of Jesus as we fulfill The Commission He has given us!
This month we also will recognize our graduates. We are proud of these youth as they make the next step in their lives. Church, may we commit to praying for them as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.
Church, as always, I encourage you to pray. We witness in the early church the supernatural power of God unleashed as the church united in prayer. We serve the same God and can see a God move in this supernatural way today! Therefore, let us pray for our church, community and country!
In Christ,
Pastor Mark and Family (Isaiah 6:8)
